So this quote came at a perfect time…

Tonight, I switched out of my American Foundations class because my professor just seems like a major A-hole that isn’t clear about his instructions whatsoever. But I had put some serious thought into, prayed about it, and talked it over with my mom and overall felt good about my decision. I wanted to take more than 12 credits though, and one of the only open classes that fit my schedule was a marriage class. No, I’m not engaged or even dating someone at the moment, but I think it could still be a useful class. Anyways, I was telling my roommates about it and all they did was bash me. They said I was a baby for dropping out of a class because I didn’t like the teacher, or that I was claiming that God told me not to take the class, or that they didn’t want to hear me talk about my marriage class at all. One, if I don’t feel good about something, I’ve learned my lesson to not do it. Two, I never said “God told me not to take American Foundations this semester!” I just said that it didn’t feel like the right time to take it. Besides, it’s only my first full semester here, I have loads of time to take it. And three, it’s not like I was gonna go preaching about what I’ve learned in my class. 

So, thanks Eleanor Roosevelt. Your wise words have become my new personal motto.
